Girls in Technology welcomed guests representing high schools from across the Metropolitan DC area to our annual Team Business Fundraiser simulation program. This event was presented free to girls across the region.

Team Business is a dynamic, hands-on business training workshop that teaches high school girls to make sound business decisions and helps them to understand how a technically-oriented company works.

Today, women account for only 20 percent of technology professionals and, in recent years, fewer girls have pursued science and technology-related academic studies and careers. Team Business and other Girls in Technology programs address this gender gap and are specifically designed to spark new interests for girls, as well as to encourage them to take advanced science, math, and technology courses.
